All confidential waste is collected in unmarked lorries, which are alarmed and have satellite security systems. Your waste is weighed, a receipt issued, then destroyed by large industrial shredders. Shredding time from collection is approximately 8 hours. However, if you prefer we can supply you with a secure on-site shredding service where you can witness the destruction in the back of one of the vehicles to give you complete piece of mind.

CD Recycling

Eco Business Supplies offer a FREE CD Recycling service. The service is totally transparent and totally secure. We have teamed up with PRL who employ the HM Prison Services to carry out the secure decollation of product. As part of this process CDs are rendered unplayable, paper and card is separated for pulping and DVDs and packaging are granulated.

Only once all of the components are separated and rendered useless, is the waste sent to the secure recycling centre. The product isn’t touched until this point without the permission of our clients.

Upon arrival at the centre, CDs are processed in specialist and patented recycling equipment. The aluminium and print layers are skimmed leaving a data-free, uncontaminated clear disc which can be granulated, blended and compounded into a high quality, injection grade polycarbonate. Granulated DVDs are ultimately formed into pellets for use in a variety of applications. The compounds are used in a variety of products (such as, light fixtures, control panels, electronic equipment and automotive components) by many well known public companies.

The environmental benefits of the solution are therefore a key driver. Our unique process has a very low environmental impact, using a non-chemical procedure and allowing the various component plastics to be recycled efficiently. 100% of our clients’ product is recycled, ensuring that natural, finite resources can be re-used rather than be tipped to contaminate land. No corrosive chemicals that might contaminate water are used.

There are also significant social and economic advantages to the service. Those employed within the HM Prison Services gain valuable work experience as a result of our relationship with them, while others can be NVQ trained in a variety of disciplines such as inventory management, engineering and logistics. Additionally, our recycling services are UK based and 80% of our recycled material is sold to the end user export market, ensuring the balance of payments is kept in the UK economy.

IT/Computer Recycling

Discarded business plans, financial reports and contracts are items you wouldn’t want falling into the wrong hands, but they could all be on your hard drive.

Eco Business Supplies offers a safe and reliable service for the secure recycling of all IT hardware & electrical equipment. All serviceable components are removed and re-used (with your permission) and items such as hard drives, which may still contain confidential information even after wiping, are crushed into tiny fragments.

These fragments are then segregated and recycled.

• Equipment is collected in unmarked vehicles, so nobody knows what has been collected;
